| Description: | The teaching hospitals which participate in the urology program are the London Health Sciences Centre (merged University Hospital and Victoria Hospital) and St. Joseph's Health Care. Both have active clinical services with somewhat different emphasis which complement each other in providing full clinical training in all subspecialty areas of urology, namely uro-oncology, endourology, andrology (male infertility and sexual function), pediatrics, prosthetics, neuro-urology, renal transplantation as well as general urology. The program serves as the secondary referral area of Southwestern Ontario and a tertiary referral extending to Northern/Northwestern Ontario as well as the rest of the province for specialized services such as extra corporeal shock wave lithotripsy. |
