Description:The overall aim of the Cinema-Communications Profile is to prepare students for university studies in media, journalism, cinema studies, film production, animation, and the arts in general. The Profile combines a rigorous media-centered education with a General Education component to prepare students to become responsible members of society who are aware of its cultural context. This Profile provides students with a foundation in film and communication studies, ranging from the history of film and other communication media, to scriptwriting and video production. There is also an opportunity to take a minor in Journalism.

    Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.
