Application Notes : | A candidate having an Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and who is judged to have a sufficient background in Applied Mathematics, shall normally complete the requirements for the degree of M.Sc. in one of two ways. Either he or she shall complete satisfactorily a minimum of four half courses at the graduate level and prepare a thesis under the direction of a member of the faculty, or she or he shall complete eight half-courses, of which at least six shall be at the graduate level, and prepare and present a review paper under the direction of one of the members of the Department.
A candidate not satisfying the conditions in (1) above shall first be required to enroll in a special undergraduate year, during which she or he must complete satisfactorily a selection of Honours courses, as approved by the supervisory committee of the student. |
