Description:This degree program is designed for personal and spiritual formation and does not normally lead to professional vocational ministry. The coursework explores a variety of fields within general education, Bible, and Theology and provides a number of elective choices, which may include introductory studies in a number of fields. This is not a preparatory degree for pastoral ministry or graduate studies. Graduates of this degree are equipped to be lay-leaders in the local church and to be effective witnesses in our world. Students preparing for graduate studies or pastoral ministry are recommended to the Bachelor of Theology or Bachelor of Religious Education – Honours degrees.

Degree program applicants must have completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) with a minimum average of 65% including six ‘university preparatory’ Grade 12 courses. Four of these must be “U” level courses and the other two must be either “U” or “M”. Students must have a minimum average of 60% in each eligible grade 12 course. Ontario Academic Courses (OAC’s) or Grade 13 courses are considered equivalent to Grade 12 U-level courses under the former Ontario Secondary School curriculum.
