Description:The Hellenic Studies Program offers a wide selection of courses in Ancient, Byzantine, Early Modern and Modern Greek History, in addition to Archaeology and Greek language training. In-person seminars and lectures are supplemented by online courses and blended classrooms and students have the option of taking part in a Hellenic Studies Field School to Greece.

The Hellenic Studies certificate in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is offered by the Hellenic Studies Program.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade11 Mathematics 
English 12 and Mathematics 12 are required. Canadian Grade 12 students are guaranteed admission to SFU if they meet our admission requirements and apply by February 28th for entrance to Fall. September 30th is the deadline for the spring session, which starts in January.
