Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants are required to have: achieved a minimum of at least a 3.0/4.33 (B) average (or equivalent) in their last four semesters (or terms) of undergraduate study in a four-year honours program (or equivalent); and demonstrate that they have the necessary background to pursue masters’ level graduate work in international economics and finance. Normally, this would be an undergraduate degree in economics or a commerce degree. The students should be familiar with the undergraduate course content of intermediate macro and microeconomic theory, econometrics, calculus and linear algebra, international economics and finance.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93]
    Application Notes : If you have not completed two or more years, full-time, at a Canadian university or a university at which English was the primary language of instruction, or have not completed a graduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction, you will be required to provide certification of English language proficiency through one of the accepted examinations listed below. Scores are valid for two years from the test date.

    It is important to understand that meeting the minimum English proficiency requirements does not guarantee admission. Programs may set additional requirements to these minimum standards.

    For exemption from this requirement, applicants are required to provide an official statement from their institutions Registrar's office confirming the use of English as the Medium of Instruction for the duration of their study.
