Description:Our Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics is a unique blend of pure and applied mathematics, offering practical experience in applications to science, finance and mathematical modelling for new technologies.

Our main goal is to provide you with the advanced and in-demand skill to develop and analyze mathematical models applicable across multiple disciplines. You’ll also gain research experience through writing a thesis or capstone project where you’ll examine modern problems in depth.

Applicants are required to have: a four-year (honours) undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in mathematics or a related field that includes courses in advance calculus, basic probability and statistics, linear algebra, and abstract algebra; and a minimum B+ average in your final year of undergraduate study and a cumulative B+ average in all mathematics and statistics courses. Applications are reviewed by the graduate program committee, which considers all prior university grades, a statement of your research interests, a writing sample and letters of reference.
