    The Department's admission requirements are a minimum of an honours degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Geophysics, Engineering, Astronomy, Geology or Mathematics, normally with an average of 3.2 in the last two years of undergraduate work (or graduate work) at the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 90] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
    Application Notes : A GRE can be submitted if available. However, it is not required.
