Candidates for the Master of Science in Nursing will be considered for admission under the general regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Applicants must meet the following requirements: have completed a baccalaureate in nursing (equivalent to the degree offered by the University of Ottawa) with an average of at least 70% (B) average and have successfully completed an introductory statistics course (or equivalent) within the last six years. This course must be completed prior to commencing the program or, if not, during the first session in the program. A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or equivalent from another province is required. The equivalent of two years of recent nursing practice as a registered nurse, preferably in the chosen area of concentration, is strongly recommended.
