The Langara College Nursing Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure it is informed by new developments and trends in health care and nursing education. The Nursing Department offers the Advanced Entry BSN Program for Licensed Practical Nurses. The Department also offers the Post Degree Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management for Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN). Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants are required to have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.33 on courses required for admission. Applicants must complete the following courses with a minimum grade of C+ in each course: one of English 1100, 1123, 1127, or 1128 (or equivalent); any university-transferable English course that is not equivalent to ENGL 1100, 1123, 1127, or 1128; Biology 1190; Biology 1191; PSYC 2321 with a minimum "C+" grade, or STAT 1123 with a minimum "A" grade, or STAT 1124 with a minimum "C+" grade.     Additional Admission Requirements:
      Applicants who receive offers of admission must submit the following: a satisfactory Criminal Records Review; a complete and current Immunization and Communicable Disease Form; certification in Standard First Aid; certification in CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent.
