Description:Chiropodists specialize in the recognition, assessment, treatment, and ongoing care of the foot. An essential member of the health care team, the Chiropodist has many skills and techniques that help patients eliminate foot pain, gain mobility, and maintain healthy feet.

The Graduate Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences (Chiropody) is a three-year, 7 semester, full-time program. There is one intake each year, in September. The first and third year of the program run from September to April, while the second year of the program includes a Summer semester. Graduates from Michener's Chiropody program earn a Graduate Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences (Chiropody).

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The applicant must have a completed undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree from a recognized University or a BA in Kinesiology. Prerequisite Requirements are:
    One (1.0) full credit equivalent in Human Physiology; One (1.0) full credit equivalent in Life Sciences. Examples of Life Sciences include anatomy, biochemistry, biology, botany, embryology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, psychology, neuroscience, toxicology, zoology etc. All prerequisite courses must be at a minimum grade of 60% (C-) to meet our admission requirements. A minimum CGPA of 70%.

    Applicants for whom English is a second language must provide proof of an English language assessment. Deadline for submission is February 1st.

    Each program offered by Michener has a fixed size, reflecting labour market demand and clinical education spaces. Therefore enrollment in theprogram is limited, and admission can be very competitive.
