Description:

Geophysicists use the principles of physics and mathematics to study the Earth’s surface, internal structure and composition, atmosphere and magnetosphere. The many overlapping fields in Geophysics include: Earthquake Seismology, Exploration Seismology, Electromagnetic Geophysics, Gravity and Magnetic Geophysics, Geodesy, Geomagnetism as well as Geodynamics and High-Pressure Geophysics.

    High school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level.

    A minimum average of 70% over the following, with no less than 60% in each course:

    • 50% in Chemistry and Physics 40S; 60% in Pre-Cal Math 40S 

    Program admission also includes 24 graded credit hours including GEOL 1340
