Description:Whether you decide to work abroad or remain close to home the skills you acquire in the Hospitality and Tourism Management program will prepare you with a solid management focused education allowing you to be employable in many businesses around the world. This new UNIQUE 15 month accelerated diploma program requires students to complete work experience components along with an applied management residency.

Students will learn in state-of-the-art facilities like our new Olds College Brewery, the new Pomeroy Inns & Suites, and Thompson Tap Room all located on our remarkable campus. By leveraging our relationships with industry associations, professional organizations, and tourism operators, students will experience a diverse range of facilities and services focusing on real-life learning. From leisure, tourism, sporting events, and recreation operations, to mixology, culinary theory and everything in between, students will be immersed in applied learning. With a true entrepreneurial spirit and learner-driven attitude, Hospitality and Tourism Management students are positioned to thrive in the global business environment.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade11 Applied Mathematics  or  Grade11 Pure Mathematics 

Applicants must have 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2; and 50% or better in Math 20-1 or 20-2.

Test Scores:
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration)

Alternate Admission Status applies if you do not meet the Alberta high school requirements of the program to which you are applying, or if you received your high school education through home based learning.
