Description:NAIT’s 2-year Dental Assisting Technology diploma program will give you the hands-on skills necessary to immediately support dentists and hygienists in their practice. From infection prevention to care procedures, dental sciences and dental practice administration, our program will prepare you to be an important member of the dental health care team.

In our program, students obtain knowledge, skills and attitudes required for a successful career in dental assisting.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Biology 
  •  Grade11 Chemistry 
Applicants are required to have 60% in: Grade 12 English; Biology 30; Chemistry 20; and one of: Science 30, Pure Math 30 or Math 30-1 or 30-2 or Applied Math 30 or Math 31, Physics 30, Social Studies 30-1 or a 30-level language other than English.
