Description:Cash and its current value, is the blood in the veins of a business. Finance is the science of raising cash to invest, investing where there is potential, managing those investments, and estimating their value. This major not only teaches the quantifying skills you will need, but develops your creative selling abilities, and empowers you with the knowledge of investors’ behaviour. It prepares you for corporate financial management, investments industry, and banking.

Build credibility and on-the-job skills by opting for the Co-operative Education option. Combine study semesters with four- eight, or twelve-month paid work terms, offered in regional, national, and global firms. Positions are available in all major/minor specialization areas and in varied industries. These opportunities provide you with valuable experience and boost your career prospects.

Admission Requirements

Applicants are required to have: B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, the prerequisites for MATH 141, the prerequisites for ENGL 105, and one other Approved Grade 12 course with a minimum B grade.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70]
