Description:This specialization program allows students to focus on Environmental Sociology and Sustainable Communities while still receiving the benefits of an Associate Degree. This program has been designed to facilitate maximum transferability to a full Degree program or to conclude after two years at NWCC.

Courses used to complete the Associate Degree requirement can transfer as first or second year course credits to the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria, the University of Northern British Columbia. Associate degrees can lead to undergraduate degrees in different specializations at other post-secondary institutions depending upon the requirements of that particular institution.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Students coming directly from high school are expected to have completed Grade 12. Students entering from Career and College Preparation programs may use CCP courses in place of equivalent high school courses. Many of the courses offered have specific prerequisites which must be met by prospective students. In some cases, instructors will conditionally admit students lacking formal prerequisites.
