Description:This specialized program, focused on damage prevention and structural repair can land you an aerodynamic career. Combine theory and practical using state-of-the-art facilities at Mohawk’s Fennell and Stoney Creek campuses and aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul facilities at the Hamilton International Airport. Work on vintage aircraft to modern light aircraft, large jet transports and helicopters. Program includes composites, Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE), welding, painting and refinishing. Students will work on vintage aircraft to modern light aircraft, heavy jet transports and helicopters.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  •  Grade12 Mathematics 
Applicants are required to have an OSSD or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading, GED) including Grade 12 English, C or U or equivalent, and Grade 12 Mathematics, MAP4C ≥ 60%; or MCT4C; or any U or equivalent. Applicants are also recommended to have taken Senior Physics.
Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 79-80]
Application Notes : All classes in Mohawk College are provided in English. Students whose first language is not English are expected to prove their proficiency with one of the following: successful completion of GAS-EAP (478) Program Level 8 with 70%; TOEFL minimum score of 550 (79-80 Internet based); IELTS minimum score of 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5; or an Ontario Secondary School Diploma & English Credit (Grade 12 U, M or C) issued from a public school board.
