Description:Intended primarily for teachers, our diploma in Inclusive Education is offered in collaboration with the University of Alberta. The program enhances teachers' knowledge and skills in the areas of special needs. You will complete 24 credits taken from either Athabasca University or the University of Alberta, as both institutions offer equivalent courses. Once enrolled, it is recommended that you complete your core courses at the home institution.

For certified teachers with a Bachelor of Education, a Diploma in Inclusive Education can lead to employment opportunities, including: special education teacher, resource room or learning assistant teacher, resource facilitator, and special education consultant. For teaching assistants or students who are not certified teachers, this program can lead to employment as a special needs assistant.
