Description:This certificate provides an opportunity to explore areas in social sciences and humanities and develop transferable university-level skills such as critical analysis and problem solving. Courses are based on the common first-year foundation of Ryerson’s Faculty of Arts programs and may provide an opportunity for students to strengthen applications for full-time undergraduate degrees. Successfully completed courses may be considered as transfer credits to higher education degree programs, subject to admission and requirements for credit transfer.

    It is recommended that applicants have the following: OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M credits, or equivalent, or mature student status. Students who have not met the above requirements are required to take CENG 110 as one of their four electives.
