Description:	The Diploma in Food, Nutrition, and Health Transfer is a limited enrolment program, developed in collaboration with UBC. Graduates of this program will receive acceptance to the Land and Food Systems Faculty and be eligible to apply to the 3rd year of the dietetics degree program. The diploma provides the first two years of Arts and Sciences prerequisite courses for the Dietetics Major at UBC, and completing this diploma may improve a student’s chances for admission.

Prerequisites:*	These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants must complete BC Grade 12 or equivalent, or be 19 years of age or older. Students first apply to the Associate of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition, and must complete all of the courses identified below with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 within the two calendar years immediately preceding the start date of the program: BIOL 1115; BIOL 1215; BIOL 1190; CHEM 1120; CHEM 1220; NUTR 2112; NUTR 2212; STAT 1181; ENGL 1123, 1127, or 1128; one of: MATH 1171; MATH 1153 and 1253; MATH 1173 and 1183; or MATH 1174.
Additional Admission Requirements:	Resume/Curriculum Vitae Statement of Research Interests Additional requirements include: a resumé indicating a minimum of 6 months of experience in a food service or nutrition-related field, paid or volunteer; a letter of intent that needs to be a maximum of two pages explaining why the applicant wishes to be considered for the program; a valid Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent.
