Description:Work is changing across the globe. Technology, globalization, international trade and public policy are transforming how, where and why people work, raising important questions about fairness, equity, labour rights, and the future of work. York's Global Work & Labour Studies program, the only program of its kind in Canada, offers an interdisciplinary approach to understanding these transformations. You'll examine employment, labour rights, workplace conditions, and the social, economic, political and legal forces shaping work in Canada and around the world. Through hands-on learning and real-world case studies, you'll develop valuable research, analytical and problem-solving skills while exploring solutions to today's workplace challenges. Supported by dedicated advising, an active student association and award-winning faculty, you'll graduate prepared for careers in government, human resources, labour organizations, public policy, international organizations and other sectors shaping the future of work.
