Description | What is the purpose of life? What are our obligations to one another and the environment? What is the nature of truth, knowledge, power and justice? In this program, students pursue these and other fundamental questions of philosophy that have been contemplated for centuries and remain relevant today. You will learn to ask better questions, develop stronger arguments and write more clearly, and can participate in independent and group study, public dialogue and lectures, applied community projects and more. Membership in the Ryerson Philosophy Club is also an option. Ultimately, you will develop the knowledge needed to make a difference in today’s society.
