| Prerequisites Notes | To be admitted to the Ph.D. program an applicant must hold a thesis-based M.Sc. in Computer Science (or an equivalent background) and a University of Saskatchewan equivalent grade point average (GPA) of 80%. The applicant must show an ability to work independently and engage in original research. | Description | The department of computer science offers thesis-based master's and doctoral programs. In general, the master's program trains graduates who will become senior technical professionals in industry or prepares students for entry into a doctoral program. The doctoral program trains graduates for careers in academic or industrial research. We also offer a post-degree specialization certificate (PDSC) which is intended for students who have completed or are completing a four year University degree in some other discipline, and who wish to complete a Computer Science program in addition. | | |
