Government requires people who work directly with young children to have a current immunization record and a Police Information Check. Information about obtaining Criminal Record checks will be provided to students after they have been admitted to the program. Some programs may require medical examinations, as well.

The two-year accelerated Early Learning and Child Care Program provides comprehensive training for individuals seeking to specialize in the field of child development, specifically targeting children ranging from birth to eight years of age, with additional preparatory components for working with children aged eight to twelve.
