A four-year honours bachelor's degree with a specialization in mathematics, or in science or engineering with a strong concentration in mathematics is required. Applicants must have an overall 78% average or its equivalent for undergraduate work.

Description

Deepen your knowledge and undertake mathematics-based research in a multidisciplinary environment while discovering innovative ways to tackle global water challenges with the Master of Applied Mathematics Collaborative Water program.

At North America’s only dedicated Faculty of Mathematics and the #1 school in Canada for mathematics and computer science, you’ll connect theoretical advances and innovative mathematics to develop novel solutions to the pressing problems facing today’s world. 

Through a combination of coursework and research projects, you’ll learn cutting-edge applications of mathematical theory in a broad range of fundamental and applied sciences. Along with developing expertise in your area of research, two interdisciplinary water courses will capture both theoretical and practical components. This includes in-class lectures, fieldwork, interdisciplinary group work, and individual research seminars.

With the competitive edge provided by mentorship through the Faculty’s connections around the world, you’ll be prepared to pursue further research at the PhD level or to pursue a career in academia, government or industry.
