DescriptionCivil Engineering Technology is a cluster of diploma programs that provide students with career training in construction engineering, environmental protection, and geomatics technologies.

During the first year, students acquire generic competencies in common core courses in the following areas: Algebra and Trigonometry, Chemistry, Statics and Strength of Materials, Surveying, Technical Communications, Computer Applications, Technical Drafting, and WHMIS. Application and development of these competencies is accomplished during a six-month co-operative education work term. In the second and/or third years, students will develop specific discipline competencies in more advanced courses related to the application and analysis of the technology terms. Entry into subsequent terms (both academic and co-op), as well as program graduation requires a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00.
