  • Minimum overall academic standing of B (GPA: 3.0 on a 4.3 scale or 73 to 76 percent), with a minimum B average in the last 60 credits of a 120-credit undergraduate program

The Master of Social Media Communication in Online Creators (MSMC) is Canada's first professional graduate program designed to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the fast-growing global creator and influencer economy. Combining industry best practices with cutting-edge research, the program focuses on strategies for building online presence, developing sustainable business models, and producing content that informs, entertains, and drives meaningful impact. Students will explore the foundations of content creation, social media influence, and entrepreneurship, while gaining advanced expertise in digital media analytics, user engagement tactics, content monetization, digital storytelling, social brokerage, and legal and regulatory compliance.

MSMC is open to aspiring and established creators, recent graduates, digital communication and marketing professionals, nonprofit leaders, social advocates, brand and talent managers, and other professional communicators in the public and private sectors who want to deepen their expertise, stay ahead of digital trends, and lead in the evolving creator economy.
