In Humber’s Horticulture Landscape Techniques program, you will learn horticulture principles, environmental stewardship and sustainability practices in a natural learning environment. We have exceptional facilities for landscape education. Surrounding Humber’s North Campus is the Humber Arboretum, a 250-acre botanical garden situated on the Humber River which includes ornamental, woodland and wildlife gardens that serve as a unique living classroom for plant studies, construction, arboricultural and horticultural skills. Our construction lab is housed in a weather-protected facility allowing students an opportunity to build full-scale structures such as decks and gazebos. Our greenhouse provides space for students to explore plant propagation and growing systems. Additionally, students develop the skills to survey and assess landscapes and to draw sketches and interpret plans.
