Humber’s new Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering program is for candidates seeking to gain skills and knowledge with boundless potential to impact productivity and make a lasting impact on the manufacturing sector in Canada. This program is one of the first of its kind to be launched under Ontario’s new approach for Master’s programs in specialized and high-demand fields of study. It is distinct from existing Master’s programs in the province, as it focuses on applied and interactive learning and direct industry collaboration. A key feature of the program is that all research and scholarly activities directly address industry challenges and can be conducted in real-world settings, which will equip graduates with the in-demand skills and experience that will enhance their employability.

Advanced manufacturing, also referred to as digital transformation of manufacturing processes, provides flexibility and customization, improves quality, and increases productivity of manufacturing by leveraging data-driven decision-making and connectivity. This program is designed so that candidates can implement industry 4.0 technologies within traditional manufacturing facilities, maintaining the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Ontario. Students will gain the skills and experience to turn complex challenges into real-world solutions, driving innovation and meaningful change across the industry and beyond.
