Program Eligibility:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses: 
  • English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or?ENG4U) 
  • One?Math, Grade 11?Mathematics (M or U) or Grade?12 Mathematics?(C or U), or equivalent (minimum grade required) 
  • Recommended: Two science courses from Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 Chemistry, Biology, Physics and/or General Science. 

OR 

  • Mature student status 
  • If you're at least 19 years old and missing any of the requirements above, you can meet these requirements by applying as a mature student. Mature students may be required to complete tests in English, math and/or science or take a FREE preparatory course through Sheridan's Academic Upgrading program.

Description

 Learn how residential, commercial and industrial buildings are designed and constructed, with a focus on sustainability. You'll develop an understanding of how building systems, regulatory requirements and project planning come together in sustainable construction. You'll also use industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD and Revit within BIMbased workflows to support efficient and environmentally responsible projects. Discover how today's construction teams reduce waste, improve energy performance and choose better materials. You'll work with real green building standards like LEED® and NetZero so you understand how sustainability goals turn into real-world decisions.
