| Description | The Criminology Qualification Year is a pathway into the Criminology program at York. It offers a focused first year of study with all the courses you will need to be considered for second year entry to the Criminology program. This option is ideal if you don’t meet direct entry requirements but want to study Criminology. By successfully completing 24 credits, including Criminology Qualification Year required courses, with a final cumulative GPA of 5.0 (C+) and a minimum grade of B in AP/SOSC 1650 6.00 Introduction to Criminology, you will be able to join the Criminology program in second year. If you are not successful in completing the Criminology Qualification Year requirements, the credits you earned in first year will allow you to pursue other programs, such as Human Rights & Equity Studies. | | |
