DescriptionThe ten-month full-time program combines lecture and clinical practice to prepare students for a career as a Certified Dental Assistant. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada, hence graduates are eligible for registration with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia. As licensing requirements change, students should be prepared to write the National Dental Assisting Examining Board exam prior to registering with the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C.

In conjunction with the theoretical component of the program, all students participate in clinical situations. Students must also participate in practicum placement settings in dental offices.
