DescriptionThe pre-technology program is designed to provide Northerners with the opportunity to upgrade their skills in communications, mathematics, science and computer applications. Successful graduates will have the credentials to apply for admission to an accredited technology program at a post-secondary institution in Alberta or the Northwest Territories (e.g. Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), Aurora College, etc.).

The Aurora College program is designed to include a balance of theory and practical instruction with an emphasis on personal management, learning and employability skills. The program has two streams. The general stream is designed for students wishing to move on to most of the engineering technologies at NAIT and technology programs elsewhere. This would include, construction, civil, surveying, environmental technology, architectural, interior design and others. Students in the general stream may also choose whether to focus on biology or physics.
