| Description | The Doctor of Physiotherapy (D Phty) program is Australia’s first graduate entry physiotherapy doctorate program. The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine has formed an educational alliance with McMaster University in Canada, which is internationally renowned for its focus on problem based learning. Bond’s D Phty program provides the clinical, pathological and related science theory, as well as the clinical practice elements required to examine, diagnose and treat physiotherapy clients.
The D Phty program features small group problem based learning, which enables holistic preparation for case management in a clinical setting and enables an effective transition into the workplace. More than 50% of the program is located in varied clinical settings. Students are also taught in Bond University’s new state-of-the-art Physiotherapy Laboratory. This provides experiential learning that assists students’ development by applying their knowledge and skills in practice. | | |
