DescriptionThe University of Waterloo’s School of Planning is the only planning school in Canada to offer programs at the bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels. Its graduates are well-qualified for the workplace –with programs recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners, and as a co-op program, where students receive 20 months of paid work experience as they earn their undergraduate degrees.

The School of Planning takes an interdisciplinary approach, with students learning about environmental planning, urban design, political systems, law, and housing. Located in the Faculty of Environment's LEED Platinum certified Environment 3 building, it draws upon multiple disciplines to research and teach issues in planning for sustainable development.
