DescriptionA career in policing is primarily about working with people to ensure public safety through crime prevention and law enforcement. Police work requires the building of relationships in the community and sensitivity towards the needs of people from all races, cultures and backgrounds. For those people who are truly interested in serving the needs of the community, police work is very rewarding.

The Police Foundations program is a joint initiative between the Police Learning System Advisory Committee and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to establish minimum entrance standards for police services in Ontario. The program prepares students for employment opportunities and career success at all levels of policing and related jurisdictions and justice professions. The triOS Police Foundations Program has significant benefits over programs offered at Community Colleges.
