Prerequisites NotesAn Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants must have a 75% or higher for the College-level prerequisites and 65% or higher for the UOSSD or equivalent; Grade 12C or U Math and English; Grade 11C or U Biology; Grade 12C or Grade 11 U Chemistry; each with a minimum 75% final average, College Level or 65% final average, University Level. If applicants have not completed Grade 12C or U Math and English Grade 11 marks will be considered in the assessment process but the Grade 12 courses must be completed prior to entry.

DescriptionThis program is designed to offer students the opportunity to complete distance learning during the fall and winter semester combined with on-campus practical learning for three months in the summer semester. This delivery format takes three years to complete and gives students the technical knowledge and skills they need to become a veterinary technician. Our program is accredited by the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Our graduates consistently achieve top scores on the Veterinary Technician National Exam, to become Registered Veterinary Technicians (R.V.T.).
