DescriptionPrairie's Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies (BAIS) includes studies in theology, anthropology and cross-culture communications to increase your understanding of God's character, His work, and the diversity of human cultures. Prairie also offers a BAIS with an Islamic Studies Major for individuals seeking preparation to work in a Muslim country or with Muslim Background Believers (MBBs).

A highlight of this program is a 9-month internship that will lead you to 10 countries and 4 continents. You will observe and at times participate in ministry with orphans, street kids, prisoners, AIDS victims, and former prostitutes. Church planting in a creative access nation, Bible translation, and anti-human trafficking initiatives will also be on the agenda. After weeks of travel, you will immerse yourself in a ministry of your own choosing. You will work under the leadership of local mentors as well as study the local language. This six-month Indian experience culminates with a trek through the Himalayas with your fellow GlobeTREK students. Then you will travel to the African continent and observe what God is doing there. The countries may change from year to year. Flexibility is expected.
