DescriptionThe University of Alberta provides an elective one-year Postgraduate Residency program in general dentistry. Three positions are available per year to qualified applicants (i.e. graduates of Dental programs eligible for licensure in Canada). The goal of our program is to provide a broad range of experiences in management of dental patients with complex medical or dental needs under the guidance of selected mentors.

Completion of the program will better prepare a Dentist to confidently treat patients with complex medical problems, manage more complex dental procedures, and pursue studies in a clinical dental specialty.
