Prerequisites NotesResidents are informally assessed at the end of each quarter. Twice yearly oral examinations are organized for all residents. An annual in-training evaluation exam is administered under the auspices of the American Board of Radiology. This is not for credit, but provides a benchmark for residents to compare themselves to. Annual province-wide OSCE examinations are held for senior medical and radiation oncology residents. Relevant degree or equivalent.

DescriptionInterprovincial and international electives are possible at resident's request. We do not support international electives because of past difficulties obtaining evaluations. Ratio of residents to faculty is three to 15 radiation oncologists.

The resident is responsible only for the patients of one staff physician per rotation. There is an internist on the ward to assist with in-patient care.
