| Prerequisites Notes | Applicants must achieve a four-year baccalaureate degree (120 units/credits or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (B or 75%) in the last 2 years or 60 units of university academic study. The degree can be in any university discipline; none are favoured. There are no course pre-requisites for the Occupational Therapy Program; however, there are two (2) course pre-requisites for the Physiotherapy Program. Applicants graduating from a 4-year baccalaureate degree (120 units/credits), will require a minimum average of B or 75% or 3.0/4.0 or 8/12, calculated over the last 60 units of his/her university course work. Applicants may apply in the 4th year of their degree. In addition applicants should have a full or half credit in one biological or life science course with a grade of B or 75% or 3.0/4.0 or 8/12 or higher, and a full or half credit in one social science or humanities course with a grade of B or 75% or 3.0/4.0 or 8/12 or higher. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS COMPLETE A HUMAN ANATOMY (Dissection/prosection) and HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY COURSE BEFORE ENTERING THE PROGRAM. Other courses that are recommended: Statistics, psychology or sociology. Applicants must be enrolled in the specified prerequisite courses by the application deadline date (i.e., the course must be listed on an official transcript).

| Description | The Masters of Science (Physiotherapy) Program offered at McMaster University is a 25 month full time, entry to practice program. This program utilizes problem-based, small group, self-directed learning. The MSc(PT) Program is committed to providing an educational opportunity for its students, which is excellent, innovative and consistent with the mission of the Faculty of Health Sciences. With an emphasis on problem-based, small group, self-directed learning, and integrated academic and clinical education, the program provides professional and interprofessional educational opportunities in partnership with the community and university at large.
The MSc(PT) Program strives to prepare physiotherapists to be caring and reflective practitioners who are clinical scholars with the ability to provide client-centred, effective and efficient health care, to critically evaluate the scientific basis of practice, to adapt to and initiate change, to collaborate within interprofessional teams, and to become lifelong learners.
