| Description | The University of Windsor is a very unique institution that provides an exceptional experience for its Faculty of Science students. We are a mid-sized campus that offers you a personalized education and the opportunity to form connections with faculty members, as well as other students. GLIER will encourage you to find and follow your passion in the environmental field and research of your choice. In addition, you will benefit from having access to the Great Lakes to experientially learn about local environmental issues, and have your research make a difference in the community.
Our PhD program is intended for those who want to further their research in a specialized and independent way. Our PhD students look for solutions to the major issues that are stressing the environment. Similarly to the MSc program, students complete courses and seminars, collaborate with other scientists, and present, publish, and defend their dissertation.
