DescriptionThe one-year fashion diploma program is taught in an environment where hands-on learning and creativity blend. Our colourful fashion design studio is equipped with industrial sewing machines, layout tables and professional dress forms and mannequins. While learning pattern drafting and construction techniques, courses in fashion history, textiles, design and draping further develop students understanding of the fashion industry. This program will enhance the students' creative ability and talent by providing them with a strong foundation in fashion illustration and design. Students will learn about the business behind the fashion industry as well as fashion show production, merchandising and buying. The school and public are invited to the year-end, fashion show held at one of Victoria's most prestigious venues. Working with professional models, make up artists, VJs, and hair stylists, students showcase their own clothing line. Graduates leave with a portfolio of illustrated designs and a collection of garments they have designed and constructed.
