DescriptionCommunity Support Workers perform many duties to assist clients with personal and social problems. They may also organize and implement a variety of community programs and services. Individuals in this role may be responsible for preparing intake reports, referring clients to other social services, admitting clients to appropriate programs, and meeting with clients to evaluate treatments/plans and progress. This program provides the tools to assist people in the community. Areas of study include addictions, psychology, sociology, mental health, Canadian family dynamic, professional skills, counselling and interviewing techniques, development, business communications and report writing.

Notes: Program length: 11 months (20 hours/week, M-TH) includes 4 week internship. Ask about our special $3,900 scholarship available for the Community Support Worker program.
