Description | Successful major construction projects, efficiently and safely built and turning a profit, are a result of the work and collaboration of construction managers and superintendents. If you're hungry for a career that puts you in charge, or if you're eager to unleash your true earning potential, the Construction Engineering Technology program will open the doors to a satisfying career. Although we've changed the program name, Management is still the game. You'll develop the technical knowledge and skills required to oversee the construction of residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings - from planning through to completion. You'll learn to estimate material requirements and costs, schedule and manage construction projects, perform on-site field engineering and coordination. In addition to all of the skills required to be an effective and respected leader. Plus, you'll get incredible hands on experience with the opportunity of twelve full months of paid co-op work. As a graduate, your career choices will be as varied as your highly developed skills. Work as a building developer, general contractor, subcontractor, superintendent, field coordinator, expeditor, quantity surveyor, estimator, inspector, scheduler or contract manager. If you've been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, during your career, you may wish to start your own construction company. Your career in construction management is waiting.
