Essential topics of this pre-examination course include: review of plumbing theory; boilers and controls; water supply systems; operation of machines and tools; review of terminology and practice; fittings, stacks, wastes, and vents; selection of correct piping; tubing; welding, treading machines; fixtures and units installation; reading and interpreting isometrics, blueprints and schematics; maintenance requirements for sewers or drains; installation and maintenance of water systems; pipe installation with PVC, ABS, copper, and steel; and troubleshooting, detection, repair, and maintenance.
