DescriptionThe purpose of the Basic Education programs is to assist adults in improving their employment opportunities, meeting entrance requirements to post-secondary institutions, and developing personal skills. The programs provide certification at the following levels: Adult 5 - 10, GED 12 and Academic 12. Courses are designed for adult learners who either lack high school graduation, or who already have a high school diploma, but who need specific courses for employment or further education. The program allows you to study at a pace suitable to your individual needs and abilities. When you start the program, our qualified and experienced instructors will find out what you already know, what you want to do and then design an individualized program to help you achieve your goals.

The Academic 12 Program consists of seven 30 level credits, including: English credits, a required Social Science 30, a Mathematics 30, a Science 30, plus 30-level electives for a total of seven. One 30-level credit may be granted for life/work experience based on criteria to be developed. All of the pre-requisite knowledge from the 20-level courses is incorporated into the 30-level courses which provides for faster completion of the Adult 12 program. This program includes Saskatchewan Education 30-level courses developed for use in all provincial high schools and college programs. These subjects provide recognition for admission to post-secondary institutions.
