| Description | This program has been updated and includes new management courses and a new model for internship. The changes, including a new unpaid internship, are effective September 2007, and were incorporated to address the needs and ideas from industry and students.
This two-semester postgraduate advanced diploma program provides a broad understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry with specific emphasis in accommodation, food and beverage and travel sectors. The program is an ideal third year, advanced-level program for students graduating from Humber’s two-year diplomas in Hotel and Restaurant Management (Hospitality Management); Tourism and Hospitality Management - Business Applications and Tourism Management - Travel Industry Services.Students will take advanced level and specialized courses, where their team building, decision-making and interpretation skills will be applied to a range of tourism-hospitality situations. The curriculum includes business courses that incorporate technology and industry case studies and are focused on operations management. The curriculum provides students with a sound knowledge of business processes and practices used in this vibrant industry.
