| Description | The main objective of the PhD program in Mechanical Engineering is to prepare graduates for a career in research, industry, government and/or teaching. Graduates of the program are expected to be able to conduct independent research. Program objectives are achieved through a combination of advanced course work, independent research, research seminars, mandatory workshops, research publication and a research dissertation.
