DescriptionGeologists study the composition, structure, processes, and history of the Earth, as well as the distribution of mineral and energy resources. There are many overlapping fields of study for geologists including: Economic Geology, Petroleum Geology, Environmental Geology, Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Mineralogy, Crystallography and Petrology, Paleontology, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy as well as Structural Geology and Tectonics.
